The third screening of Cineclub Italiano is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 28th, at 8pm in SEB 2202.
Our journey through Italy will take a detour in time with Non ci resta che piangere (Nothing Left to Do but Cry, 1984), directed and starred by Roberto Benigni and Massimo Troisi. In this cult comedy, two 20th century men, a school teacher and a janitor, mysteriously end up in Renaissance Tuscany. Hilarity ensues as the two struggle with their new lives, meet historical figures such as Leonardo Da Vinci, and try to stop Christopher Columbus from discovering America.
The screening will be in Italian with English subtitles, and will be introduced by Andrea Privitera (PhD Candidate, Comparative Literature).
