Each year, the Modern Languages and Literature department holds a photo contest for the students who participated in a study abroad program. This contest gives students a great opportunity to share some of their favourite photos while promoting the range of opportunities that our department has available to students. This year there, the Modern Languages and Literature Photo contest received over 800 votes! We are proud to announce that two of the top three winners are in the Italian program. The Department of Modern Languages and Literature is holding a photo contest! Students of our department, who have been involved in an International Community Service, Study Abroad, or Exchange Program have submitted their best photo from these experiences into the MLL Photo Contest!

Congratulations to Laura Acquaviva, Steven Di Nucci, and Nicola Paviglianiti who are the 2014 recipients of the Italian Studies Prize, for their outstanding performance in an Italian course. Nicola deserves to be congratulated twice as she is also the winner of the first MLL Photo Contest, thanks to this photo taken last Summer in Siena where she studied Italian at the local university.
